Cat's eye scientific name is Chrysoberyl. It's naturally chatoyant and comes in many colours.
These stone are cut with small facets on the edges to enhance the chatoyancy.
This model is set on gold plated sterling silver. This is called vermeil.
The earrings are 4 cm long altogether and very light on the ear which is always an important quality when choosing a model.
