Yellow Opal and Ocean Jasper Necklace
This necklace is made of Yellow Opal smooth globes and a large irregular slab of Ocean Jasper from Madagascar. On each side of the Jasper I have added a rough Carnelian nugget to add contrast to the piece.
I have used vermeil gold spacers on each side of the center piece.
Yellow Opal has a certain resemblance to Amber. Many of you have asked me for pieces made from Amber. Nowadays, genuine amber is hard to find - much of what is sold as amber is in fact reconstituted from resin and amber powder or fragments. I am not an expert and find it hard to tell the difference - hence my preference to only work with genuine stones.
This is quite a statement piece. The center stone itself is absolutely gorgeous and I was once again extremely lucky to have found just enough material to make one necklace.
It sits nicely around the neck and is not heavy because the stones are cut quite thin and the weight is very well distributed.
The spacer beads and lock are 18 carat gold plated sterling silver.
The necklace is 55 cm all together however I can alter it according to your preferences.
This is a unique piece hand made by myself in my studio in Richmond London.
Should chose to purchase it what you see on the photos is what you will get.
You will receive it safely packed in a lovely box.
