These lovely earrings are made of faceted Carnelian Cabochon set on a Gold plated Stud incrusted with small Garnets.
Carnelian is a mineral of the chalcedony family.
In Ancient Egyptian Greek and Roman civilisations, Carnelian was believed to possess protective qualities and was often used in amulets and talismans.
The earrings are 6 cm long.
The large butterfly at the back keeps them from pulling on the ear and you will find them comfortable and light to wear.
This is a unique piece handmade by myself in my studio.
What you see is what you get.
